and Internet Global Summit INET'99

This special 10th anniversary tour is being organized for IT professionals. It offers a six-day program of "behind the scene" visits to companies and research facilities followed by participation in the INET'99 Conference in San Jose, California from 22 - 25 June 1999. The tour will be directed by Henri Slettenhaar of Webster University with Wolfgang Korosec of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETHZ) and Pascal Jacot-Guillarmod of the University of Lausanne in collaboration with the Internet Society, the Department of Economic Affairs, Geneva Financial Center and the City of Geneva.

About the tour:
The Program
The purpose of this tour is to look "behind the scenes" of Silicon Valley visiting companies and organizations which are not in the limelight (yet) but contribute to the success of the "valley". This includes product design, early stage funding and coaching of start-up companies, high-speed communication providers, etc. The visits are planned for the 6 days preceding INET'99. Additional activities scheduled are visits to Stanford University and meetings with Silicon Valley personalities, media companies, and journalists.
Registration
Thanks to sponsor contributions the cost of the 10-day tour is only CHF 3'900.-. This includes economy airfare, shared accommodation, Inet'99 registration, and all visits. The same program with single accomodation is available for CHF 4'900.-. See for Details.
