Study Tour to Silicon Valley, 11 - 19 May 2008
The Swiss Silicon Valley Association (SVA) is organizing another spring tech tour to Silicon Valley. The theme of the tour is "Sustainable Innovation". After having focussed on IT for many years, SVA introduced "clean tech" in last year's program, visiting companies such as Solar and Zero-Emission Mobility. There is a Green Rush in Silicon Valley. Last year VCs have invested more than $3.5 billion in green technology. We will be visiting green technology companies as well as IT superstars like Apple, Yahoo and Microsoft.
We will be staying in the heart of Silicon Valley in Palo Alto at the Stanford Terrace Inn next to the Stanford campus.
Who will you meet?
Entrepreneurs, Scientists, Incubators, CEOs, CIOs, Idea Managers, VCs, International Lawyers, etc.
Agenda:
Visits to companies/universities/organizations during 5 days. Each visit will last two to three hours. There will also be plenty of opportunity to meet Silicon Valley leaders during luncheons/dinners and networking events.
The tour is directed by Philipp Schroeder & Wolfgang Korosec
